I. I show some national flags and logos to students, students say the English abbreviation in letters. It doesn't confirm my stu-dents' learning about letters,but also stimulate their interests about English. Help students find our the five vowel letter A , E, I, O, U and their sounds. To let my students tell me the words for each sound,I will ask five students to type the English words on my computer.
II. Listen to the tape and write the order of the pictures.It includes 4 dialogues.
III. Revise making calls and help students to make a dialogue on how to make a call.Revise polite words when meeting new peo-ple.
III. Revise the plural forms of nouns and do some exercises.
VI. Revise the personal pronoun and do some exercises.
V. Revise numbers: Including plus and minus.
VI. Get the students to say something about themselves and their families.
VII. Get the students to write what they said as homework.

王三川,男,28岁,毕业于沈阳教育学院英语系,现任沈阳市第四十三中学英语教师,教龄5年,多次作过省,市,区及全国公开课。2000年4月,辽宁省初中外语第九次学术年会作观摩课。2000年6月,沈阳市新教材示范课获得好评。2000年9月,在东北四城市素质教育教学交流研讨会中获优秀课奖。2000年11月,辽宁省第六届英语优质课大赛第一名。2001年4月,代表辽宁省参加全国第二届初中英语课大赛获得一等奖。所教的学生在1999年举行的全国中学生英语能力竞赛中,指导的郑然等16名学生分别获得初一年组一、二、三等奖。李想、王明乐在2001年代表辽宁省参加全国英语夏令营口语比赛,分别获一、二等奖。

  国家基础教育实验中心外语教育研究中心为我们大家提供了一个难得的学习、研讨的机会,也感谢沈阳市43中学的师生们为我们提供了一节精彩的课。王老师非常上乘的表现曾博得过全国优质课的一等奖。这次是我们进一步认识王老师并向他学习的好机会。我受大会的委托,就我个人的意见谈谈对这节课的看法。

  无论哪一学科的教学都体现着国家的意志和教育方向,我国的基础教育改革,最根本的目的就是要实现学生的自主学习,从王老师的这节课中,我们可以看得到,无论是那个教学步骤,他都是积极想办法调动学生的积极性,使学生积极主动的学习,这就是目前我国基础教育要要从根本上解决的问题,王老师在这方面做得相当不错,我想在座的每一位老师对目前我国基础教育这一个根本的思想要有一个比较新的认识。

    我们的教学活动要符合本学科的教学规律。我们语言的教学,最起码要体现交际性、时间性。要强调语言的实际运用、综合运用等方面,我们可以从这堂课看出来王老师在尽可能创造一定的语言环境。教学活动要能够帮助学生,根据学生的思维发展方向和认识的基本规律从已知到未知,由浅入深、由表及里的来组织教学。王老师在今天这节复习课里,能够从一些比较简单或者比较熟悉的USA、PRC、APEC、QQ等东西入手,通过图片、电脑等手段进行形象教学比较成功。
学习英语是从小学三年级开始,初中、高中学生,思维能力基本成熟,老师应该抓住这点优势把教学工作做好。英语“四位一体”规格教学,每一点都在体现学生的认知规律,及时归纳总结一些语言点、知识点。

    英语作为外语教学,应注意学生的心理特点,鼓励学生积极的表演,积极地参与你的活动。王老师根据初一的学生喜欢表演、喜欢突出自己、展示自己的特点,是课堂气氛非常活跃,达到了英语“四位一体”复习教学方法运用于本节课预期的效果。
最后我想谈一下我认为这节课还不足的地方:这堂课的步骤、设计前面很好,后面教学步骤和教学环境有些乱,教学活动应该始终随着学生的思维发展的方向来走,不要使学生的思维跳跃得太过频繁,中断太多,要始终能够使所授课浑然一体。

“寓素质教育于英语教学之中”一例
——记一堂“四位一体”初一英语复习课

    全面推进素质教育,是广大教育工作者全面贯彻党的教育方针、深化教育改革的根本性任务。全面实施素质教育,涉及的问题很多。既有政策性的导向问题,体制问题;又有具体工作问题。作为担任具体教学任务的英语教师,必须在教学中面向全体学生,注重素质教育。“教育部英语课程标准研制工作组”拟制的《关于我国基础教育阶段英语课程标准的设想》中,提出“寓素质教育于英语教学之中”的要求,体现“以素质教育和学生的发展为根本宗旨”的课程改革的指导思想。最近,我们听了沈阳第43中学王三川老师使用“英语‘四位一体’复习教学方法”进行的一堂初一期中复习课(Unit 1—Unit 8),获益匪浅,特别是在“寓素质教育于英语教学之中”这个问题上,受到很大的启发。下面是该课的讲授提纲(见前,略)。

  从上面的讲授提纲,可以看出,教师把前八课所学的内容经过整理,编制为口笔头练习,通过学生的自主活动,巩固所学知识,发展能力。从课堂活动情况看,教师口语流畅,教学技巧娴熟,引导得法;学生们学得主动积极,争先恐后要求参与活动。一个项目临近结束时,学生们仍踊跃要求活动,此起彼伏,欲罢不能。课堂气氛活泼热烈。

    应该特别强调的是教师在工作中的创新精神,尤其是对学生创新精神的启发和鼓励。用缩略语来学习或复习英语字母,已是英语教学中公认的经验。本课教师在内容的取舍上重视与国内外重大题材相结合,注意培养爱国主义精神,增强世界意识,如:PRC,UN,UNECO,WTO等,而且补充了反映当前新闻热点的略语APEC。这和“应试教育”所倡导的”一心学好ABC,两耳休闻窗外事”截然不同。在学生举例时,出现了DOHA一词。这反映了教师和学生对时事政治的关心。严格地说,这个例词并不恰当。因为DOHA是个专有名词(卡塔尔首都,通过中国“入世”会议的所在地)而非略语。但教师并未计较这个语言学术语上的“失误”予以纠正,以保护学生的学习积极性和创新精神。的确,对一个刚开始学英语的初一学生来说,调动积极性、激发创新,远比澄清语言学概念重要得多。学生的创新精神还表现在这堂课其它一些环节上。在“打电话”和“say something about...”中,学生们多不愿套用前面同学用过的句子,总想“标新立异”,与众不同。确实也出现了不少在内容或形式上富有新意的东西。

     在呈现教学内容的方式上,教师采用了多种形式,除直接呈现字母外,还采用了国旗(UK)、区旗(HK)、会标(APEC)等方式,不仅增强了教学的趣味性,也培养了学生通过多种渠道获取信息的能力。

     此外,教师重视培养学生的实践能力,也体现了在英语教学中渗透素质教育的因素。在复习元音字母的过程中,让五个学生到讲台上操作电脑,把同学们说的例词输入电脑,显示在投影屏上。虽然初一已开设计算机课,但在英语课上“操作”电脑,性质又不相同。两者相辅相成,相得益彰。

     这堂课充分体现了章兼中教授所倡导的“多信息、快节奏、高密度、勤反复”的原则。覆盖的知识面很广,技能的操练很全面。但学生和听课的教师始终兴趣盎然,无丝毫疲惫之感。这就说明,学生课业的轻重不决定于学习数量的多少;决定性的因素是学习时的情绪、学习的方法、学习的效果。

     我们不可能在一堂英语课中完成素质教育的各个方面,但只要我们树立新的教学观念,以提高学生的综合素质为目标,以培养学生的创新精神和实践能力为重点,在学习英语的同时,发展学生的独立思考、自主学习和终身学习的能力,以及良好的英语学习心理素质,也就实现了我们英语教师应尽的任务。

    欣喜他看到英语“四位一体”教学法在教师的教学中得以如此完美的运用,相信适合素质教育要求的英语“四位一体”教学法定会在全国发扬光大
